On July 18th 2014, Pet World Marketing and SPCA Selangor held ProDiet Golf Championship- Swing for Strays 2014, a charity golf championship at Kota Permai Golf & Country Club (KPGCC), with all proceeds benefiting SPCA Selangor. The SPCA Selangor is an animal welfare organisation whose aim is to protect defenceless animals and to alleviate their suffering. The weather on the day was perfect and the Golf Championship was concluded successfully, with the help of the animal-loving golfing public.
The Golf Championship attracted a total of 106 golfers, amongst them were Pet World and SPCA continuous contributors and supporters, who every year undoubtedly extend a hand and lend their support for this good cause. Also present was the Guest-of-Honour, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye, Patron of SPCA Selangor and a very special guest Dato Lawry, CEO of Tan Chong Motors. The participants truly enjoyed the golf session and the peaceful backdrop of the 18 well crafted holes in KPGCC; additionally this year, we were joined by a team of young golfers under the age of 15 years.
The Golf championship was won by Mr. Tan See Lee, closely followed by 1st runner up, a young aspiring golfer, Mr. Andrez Stephan, while Mr. Tan Choo Bee, marked his place as 2nd runner up. In addition to the podium spots, there were also attractive novelty and lucky draw prizes proudly given away.
The Championship this year managed to successfully raise a total of RM 69,800 in cash and in kind for SPCA Selangor in support of their work and mission.

Swing for Strays 2014 as the third Championship to be jointly hosted by SPCA Selangor and Pet World Marketing, and both parties are once again looking forward to running the Championship next year.
